I write, host and co-produce a monthly video series for IGN that provides an overview of upcoming video game titles. It's a rapid fire info dump of release dates, platforms, synopses and/or developer history. It began as a fairly boilerplate low-lift product, but over the years we've turned it into a comedic, personality-driven series that's one of IGN's best-performing recurring scripted shows, accumulating more than 3.5 million views in 2024 alone.
This was a massive collaborative effort from IGN's editorial and video teams. In addition to co-writing and co-hosting, my involvement was adapting the copy of 100 blurbs from numerous authors into one consistent voice that sounded conversational when read on camera.
I've been hosting IGN's weekly PlayStation Podcast "Beyond" for most of my 10+ years with the company. Our 900th episode coincided with our in-person fan event IGN Live, so I organized (I use that term very loosely) a chaotic game show celebrating the PlayStation 4 console generation.
In my spare time, I'm a prolific dabbler in various arts, crafts and hobbies. I channelled this passion into a video series that showed my creative process of crafting miniatures and dioramas based on different pop-culture properties, including sponsored episodes around Far Cry 6 and Dungeons and Dragons: Deadly Alliance.
What reads well on the page doesn't always flow naturally when read out loud, and I'm regularly tagged in to adapt a written feature into a video product, adding a conversational tone, a few jokes, and inserting sound-ups and cutaways to help it flow. In this case, I got carried away and sprinkled in some deep-cut trivia about one of my favorite developers.
How will the studio behind Hitman adapt Ian Fleming's legendary spy? I spoke to IO Interactive's CEO about the studio's vision.
We had Insomniac's Bryan Intihar on our friendly neighborhood PlayStation podcast to discuss Spidey's second full-size open-world adventure.
A deep-dive on the long and frequently bizarre history of video game tie-ins for Akira Toriyama's beloved martial arts series.
I interviewed the Executive Producer and Showrunner of Peacock's Twisted Metal series in front of a crowd at IGN Live. After asking some questions about the upcoming season, I had him weigh in on some original vehicles I created in Photoshop.
At San Diego Comic-Con 2025, I spoke to the executive producer and stars of FX's prequel series to the sci-fi classic.
Interviewing Ben Affleck, Pedro Pascal and Oscar Isaac about Metal Gear Solid wasn't on my bingo card, but life comes at you fast, I guess.
Depending how you're counting, Snake Eater is either the third or fifth entry in the Metal Gear Solid series... so why did Konami choose to remake it instead of an earlier installment? Allow me to explain!
It's not hard to write sing the praises of something objectively awesome that everyone love... but it's really fun!
There are a surprising amount of similarities between the infamously difficult cosmic horror video game and the infamously difficult cosmic horror rite of passage that is having kids.
I have strong feelings about video games based on cartoons where guys named after food punch each other.
Four stealthy crime-fighters wielding different martial arts weapons and sporting red, blue, purple and orange masks sounds like a Ninja Turtles game... but somehow it's a Batman one?
